|Samantha Selected for IBMA Youth All-Star Band
The annual IBMA Awards Show will be held Thursday, September 26, at the
Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC, as part of the
IBMA World of Bluegrass. The show is bluegrass’ big night each year to
show off the best in our music. This special night will feature performances by
top artists, celebrity presenters from the bluegrass community, special
collaborations, and Hall of Fame inductions. One highlight is certain to be the
2013 Bluegrass Youth All-Stars, a tradition dating back to 1993 in which
young pickers likely to have an impact on the music are introduced to a wider
audience on stage. Selected this year are Korey Brodsky on guitar (14, from
Connecticut), Michael Kilby on dobro (15, from British Columbia), Brandy
Miller on banjo (15, from North Carolina), Jacob Burleson on mandolin
(14, from North Carolina), Jimmy Meyer on bass (14, from Missouri),
Samantha Snyder on fiddle (14, from North Carolina) and Grant Rigney
(16, from Tennessee) on fiddle.
Samantha is very excited to be a part of this very special band and honored to
perform with them for the annual awards show.
