| February 22-23, 2008 The Snyder Family Band attended an incredible weekend of bluegrass music at Bluegrass First Class in Asheville, NC. After playing an "open mic" set, they were invited by Milton Harkey to perform on the main stage both Friday and Saturday. Needless to say, being able to play before Rhonda Vincent on Friday and then Balsam Range and Tony Rice on Saturday was a thrill for this family band. more photos |

| April 2008 The Snyder Family Band performed at the 1st Annual FarmFest in Mocksville, NC. Although it was a windy day, we were thankful the rain held off. Getting to be a part of this festival was great fun as the Snyders enjoyed performing and hearing all the great bands that came. Cindy Baucom and the festival staff made this event one our family hopes to be a part of next year and years to come. |

| May 2008 Fiddler's Grove, home of the oldest continuous old time fiddler's contest in North America, was the setting for a very exciting weekend for Zeb and Samantha. Zeb claimed the Junior Guitar Championship for the second year in a row. Samantha was awarded Junior Bluegrass Fiddle Champion and went on to compete in a play-off for "Fiddler of the Festival." Going up against four other fiddle champions, one youth and three adults, nine year old Samantha was surprised and delighted to be named "Fiddler of the Festival" for the 2008 contest! | June 2008 The very first CD project is officially under way for the Snyder Family Band. Zeb, Samantha and Bud have been hard at work in the studio. Laine even joined in for some three part harmony. Owen has been a trooper and found all the buttons and computers very entertaining. Check back for more updates on the CD progress! more photos |
